Kyle Jacobs, the husband of Kellie Pickler, reportedly committed suicide.

Kyle Jacobs, the husband of singer Kellie Pickler, died at the age of 49, apparently by suicide, according to a statement from the Nashville Police Department.

Nashville’s Department of Emergency Communications received a 911 call from a residence on Sneed Road at 1:21 p.m. on Friday.
Officers and Nashville Fire Department employees responded and discovered Kyle Jacobs, 49, dead in an upstairs bedroom/office from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to a statement from the Nashville Police Department.

The statement reads, “His death is being examined as an apparent suicide.”

Pickler “said that she awoke a short time earlier, did not see her spouse, and began hunting for him,” the Nashville Police Department stated in a statement.

When Pickler and her assistant were unable to access the door to the upper bedroom/office, Pickler’s personal assistant dialed 911.

Jacobs is well renowned for his lyrics and music. He co-wrote the song “More Than a Memory” by Garth Brooks as well as the track “8th World Wonder” by Kimberley Locke.
