More than 3 weeks after a toxic train derailed, Biden demands door-to-door inspections in Ohio.

More than three weeks after the hazardous train derailment that affected the hamlet of East Palestine, President Biden ordered federal agencies to knock on doors in Ohio on Friday.

Starting on Saturday, teams from the CDC, EPA, and Federal Emergency Management Agency will go door-to-door to ask residents how they’re doing, what they need, and to connect them with resources from the government and charity organizations.

The “walk teams” are based on groups that respond to natural catastrophes in a similar way.

Officials stated that the immediate objective was to visit at least 400 homes, and the president instructed members of those teams to visit as many as they could.
