Sean Penn is reiterating his demand that the United States provide Ukraine with cutting-edge fighter aircraft as part of the country’s conflict with Russia.
President Joe Biden’s unexpected visit to Kyiv this week to commemorate the one-year anniversary of Russia’s invasion, according to the 62-year-old actor who first pushed the White House on Ukraine’s need for jets last March, was “extremely encouraging.” But he emphasized that the U.S. must keep supplying the country, which is in the midst of a civil conflict, with military aid, including cutting-edge aircraft.
In an interview with Politico that was published on Friday, the two-time Academy Award winner said, “There’s no scenario where Ukraine loses this fight.”
Sean Penn requests that Joe Biden, the president of the United States, send modern fighter aircraft to Ukraine.
